This 7-day trek will lead you through some of the most stunning landscapes in the Alps, offering a perfect blend of natural beauty, history, and culture.
You don't need technical skills for this trip. Only your sense of adventure and a good fitness condition.
Through this region, we'll uncover the rich history and vibrant traditions of the area. Our trek will take us past emerald rivers, cascading waterfalls, towering peaks, charming alpine villages, and remnants of the war, showcasing the diverse ecosystems, wildlife, and landscapes of the Julian Alps. The trails are designed to provide both challenging climbs and easier walks, ensuring an engaging and varied experience.
The scenery of the Alps is, of course, impressive, but the historical relevance and enduring traditions of this region, make this trek a unique experience.
The trails are demanding but it does not require any technical climbing.
This is an all-inclusive trip, meaning that you only have to worry about packing your bags and your travel documents! Really, you don't have to worry about anything else, because we arranged everything for you.
For the entire tour, you will be led by a certified International Mountain Leader. Your safety and comfort are our main priority.

Itinerary
Day 1 | Arrival in Bled
We start our journey in Bled, a beautiful town nestled in the heart of the Julian Alps. We settle into our accommodation, enjoying the stunning lake Bled, its iconic castle on a cliff, and the mountain views. We’ll have dinner with our fellow adventurers in the evening and a short safety briefing for the journey ahead.

Day 2 | Approach to Planika Hut
Our journey begins with a scenic drive to Bjohinj where our hike starts. As we ascend into the mountains, we traverse through lush Alpine meadows, with sheep and cows adorning the landscape, a testament to the enduring pastoral traditions of this region. Our destination today is the Planika Hut, located beneath the surreal Triglav peak. Once there, we’ll have a traditional Slovenian meal, hang up with friends, and then rest for tomorrow’s ascend.

Day 3 | Triglav Summit
Today’s adventure will take us to the summit of the highest peak in Slovenia. We’ll wake up early in the morning to a hearty breakfast and then continue our ascent on Triglav. The journey to the summit leads us along a narrow ridge, offering exhilarating views of the surrounding peaks and valleys. Once in the summit, we’ll take a moment to enjoy the surrounding beauty and then we’ll hike down to the Triglav Lakes Valley, our destination for the night.

Day 4 | The Seven Lakes Valley
On the fourth day, our journey will take us deeper into the Seven Lakes Valley, renowned for its pristine beauty. Along the way, the trail will vary with some easier sections and a few challenging climbs with mesmerizing glacial lakes. By late afternoon, we will start descending to our next resting place.

Day 5 | Alpe Adria Trail
Today’s walk will be easy, mostly on flat terrain. we will follow the Alpe Adria Trail, which runs alongside the Soča River, one of the most beautiful rivers in Europe. As we hike through the emerald green waters of the Soča, we’ll pass through several footbridges over the river, admire the traditional architecture of the area, and dip in the cold water for a refreshing experience.

Day 6 | Hike to Komna Plateau
This day we’ll tackle steep terrain once again. Our hike begins with an ascent to the crystal-clear Lake Krn. Here, we’ll stop at a mountain hut to have lunch and enjoy a panoramic landscape of the Julian Alps. After our break, we’ll continue our hike into the heart of the Komna Plateau. Remnants from WWl are part of the landscape. The trail will be challenging, but the historical significance and natural beauty of the Komna Plateau will make it a unique experience.

Day 7 | Descend to Bohinj
On the last day of our adventure, we will descend to Lake Bohinj. Our journey will take us past the famous Savica waterfall, the spring of the Sava Bohinjka River. We will continue our hike along the north shores of Lake Bohinj, offering beautiful views and a peaceful atmosphere. Along the way, we will have the perfect opportunity to jump in the water for a rejuvenating end to our trekking expedition in the Julian Alps. In the afternoon, we'll head back to Bled, where our adventure comes to an end.

How Challenging ?
Medium effort. This is a trekking trip where you can expect 3 - 6 hours of running per day at high altitudes, with up to 800 meters of elevation loss/gain. Previous trekking experience is recommended.
