Covid-19 Update
The pandemic continues to have a significant impact on our lives, including the ability to travel freely. Whilst restrictions are being gradually lifted in some countries around the world, others are still dealing with it.
We are available as always to discuss any travel plans that you may be considering. The mountains and the trails await our return and soon we will explore them again freely, with a fresh thirst for adventure.
Thank you for your continued patience, understanding and support during this time.

Full Return Policy During COVID-19
During the outbreak of COVID-19, we have made it easier to cancel and change your bookings.
Part A - We offer a full refund (both deposit and balance payment, less any potential international bank transfer fees) if the destination country's restrictions on travel make the expedition unfeasible. This applies to all bookings made regarding workshops that take place before 31 December 2022.
Part B - If you wish to cancel, for whatever reason, a full refund (both deposit and balance payment, less any potential international bank transfer fees) is available up until 60 days before the start of the expedition - no questions asked. This applies to all bookings made regarding workshops that take place before 31 October 2021. We are ending Part B on 31 October 2021 as travelers have become used to the circumstances around travel and COVID-19 - as this ends, our standard Terms and Conditions will apply to cancellations on your part - meaning that deposits are non-refundable. Please note that travel insurance is mandatory on all our expeditions. We recommend that you make sure that this insurance will cover you for a trip refund in case you are unable to join the expedition due to illness or other unforeseen circumstances.
The above refund policy replaces our normal terms and condition as relates to refunds and cancellations. You are welcome to get in touch if you have any questions about this.
COVID-19 Trip Considerations
Preparing for the Expedition or Tour
-
Kindly be vigilant against COVID-19. Follow all recommendations issued by your country's health authority.
COVID-19 Test or vaccine certificate
-
Depending on the mode of travel, you may be required to provide proof of a negative COVID-19 test or vaccination. This may also be required for you to enter several countries or re-enter your home country.
Traveling
-
Kindly be vigilant while traveling. Check for special policies and procedures in advance with your airline, airports and hotels.
During the Expedition or Tour
-
At the beginning of the tour, we will discuss what protocols we will be implementing
-
As much as possible, social distance will be maintained. Kindly note that for some trips this is not feasible to a great extent as we may be up trekking in the mountains, staying in mountain huts with dormitories, getting a transfer to a trailhead in a bus, etc.
-
Hand sanitizer should be used regularly through the tour
If Someone Shows Symptoms of COVID-19
-
If anyone should show symptoms of COVID-19, they will be isolated from the group and actions will be taken to get access to medical attention and testing. This decision rests with the expedition leader but any costs associated with this will be at the expense of the guest (kindly note that traveler's insurance is mandatory).
If you have any questions or concerns, kindly contact us.
